Abdirahim Mohammed Abdullahi

Abdirahim Mohammed Abdullahi, the son of a Kenyan government official, has been identified as one of the gunmen behind the Garissa University attack that left 148 people dead, Interior Ministry spokesman Mwenda Njoka told the Associated Press.

The unnamed chief in Kenya’s Mandera County reported that his son missing last year and said he feared that his son had gone to Somalia to join the al-Shabaab.

Abdullahi was a recent law school graduate and described as “brilliant”. He and the three other gunmen were killed by Kenyan security forces during the attack.
